What makes fishing on the Bighorn River so good?

This blue-ribbon fishery benefits from the cold, clear, nutrient-rich flows that are released from the bottom of the dam, producing a thriving feast of insects and crustaceans. This unique trout habitat enables Rainbow and Brown trout to grow to impressive lengths of 14-20", providing anglers with an exceptional mix of dry fly, nymph, and streamer fishing opportunities that are available year-round. This, along with its breathtaking scenery and great weather makes this river one of the most highly-praised fisheries in North America.

Guided Fly Fishing Trips

Experience world-class trout fishing on the Bighorn River with our guided fly fishing trips. The river is home to Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout, providing an opportunity to catch as many as 30 fish during a single float.

On our guided fishing trips, one of our experienced local guides will take you on an all-day float down the Bighorn River, sharing their knowledge and tips to help you catch as many big fish as possible. They will teach you how to read the river and how to properly present your fly to the fish. They will also show you the best spots to fish and what flies to use based on the current hatch and the time of day.

We provide lunch and our fully equipped fly shop also has waders and boots available for those who do not have their own gear with them.

For those who want the full luxury Montana experience, we also offer all-inclusive fishing packages.
