Big Horn Valley Ranch
Nestled in Montana’s Bighorn Valley, The Ranch offers year-round fly fishing on the legendary Bighorn river. Just a few miles outside of Fort Smith, this is where the rugged Bighorn Canyon meets the ranchlands of the Wild West. The Ranch offers seasoned anglers, beginners, couples, friends, and corporate groups a chance to truly get away and enjoy the Big Sky of Montana.
Fly Fishing on the Legendary Bighorn River
The Bighorn River is a world-renowned tailwater located in Southeast Montana. This blue-ribbon fishery boasts 3000-5000 fish per mile. These cold, clear nutrient-rich flows being released from the bottom of the dam produce a thriving feast of insects and crustaceans that allow Rainbow and Brown trout to grow 14-20” in length. This unique trout habitat provides anglers with an exceptional mix of dry fly, nymph and streamer fishing year-round.

What sets us apart from other
Bighorn River Lodges?
Big Horn Valley Ranch was first founded under the name of Garrison Stoker Resort back in 2013. What started as just a simple restaurant has now grown into a beautiful full-service lodge and fly-fishing guide service that hosts people from far and wide looking to experience Montana's famous Bighorn River! The ranch has become a central part of the Bighorn Valley and has helped grow this small community in a big way over the past decade.
This rich history and inspiring story of growth make our lodge a special place, and the transformation from Garrison Stoker Resort into Big Horn Valley Ranch is an exciting continuation of this story!
