Big Horn Valley Ranch is owned and operated by Giancarlo and Barbara Cuciz and located in Tracy, CA. We decided to raise Painted Desert Sheep because of their beautiful multi-colored coats and the rams' impressive horns. We are lifetime members of the Painted Desert Sheep Society since 2008. This website will present our herd to other breeders and those who wish to raise these special sheep. Painted Deserts ewes also have a natural mothering instinct and are capable of multiple births. We recently purchased a ram lamb from
Eddy's Painted Deserts and two twin horned ewe lambs from
Bebee's Calico Ranch as a foundation for our ranch. We enjoy hand-raising our ewe lambs, considering them pets rather than livestock. We also purchased a wether from Eddy's to keep our ram company until the lambs are of breeding age. Our ranch is "managed" by our two Boston Terriers who have quickly established the pecking order here! We also enjoy our custom motorcycles and can often be found road tripping across this great country of ours.
